GENESEO — An irate Cicero man upset at the rate of a local hotel allegedly falsely reported that a clerk had threatened him with a knife and was arrested for filing a false report by the Geneseo Police Department on Sunday.
According to a press release from Geneseo Police Chief Eric Osganian, Adam Aguado, 26, was arrested for allegedly Falsely Reporting a Crime after becoming upset with a price for a room at the hotel.
Allegedly when Aguada couldn’t get the rate he wanted, he told the clerk that he was going to call 911 and tell the police they threatened him with a knife. The clerk stuck to the quoted price, and Aguado left the Hotel and called 911.
Geneseo Police Officer Raymond Goulet later pulled over and arrested Aguado.
Aguado is scheduled to appear in Geneseo Village Court at a later date.
