RETSOF — The York Golden Knights defeated the Bolivar-Richburg Wolverines 42-0 on an emotional homecoming.
The Knights started off the night with a 51 yard run by Kelvin Voisey with 6:35 remaining in the 1st quarter. To seal the deal for the Knights Thomas Gates III caught a screen pass from Tyler Shutts early in the 3rd quarter to put them up 35-0.
“We’re game planning each week, and really trying to get our defense working better,” said Gates. “I really give a lot of credit to my offensive line and Neil Craft for some great blocking.”
The Knight’s win helped clinch the Division III title, but they won’t rest easy until they fight for the real trophy. Next Friday night the Knights (4-2) will travel to Geneseo to take on one of their biggest rivals in Section V for the Valley Ball.
