YORK – Our loving mom and grandmother, Mary Dolores Garnier, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018, at the age of 88 in the home of her daughter in York, NY surrounded by family. Dolores, born September 29, 1930 in Holt, MN to Leslie and Mary Shaver, lived an abundantly rich and diverse life. From moving to the Philippines with her husband; owning a successful printing business in California; participating in the first entourage to China after opening their doors to trade; becoming an accomplished private pilot; to the title of “Glass Lady” buying and selling antique glass in the local markets.

Dolores is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Kelsch, son, James Taylor, grandchildren, Elizabeth Meffen, Lacey Henry, Easton Taylor, Jack Kelsch and Sara Kelsch, great grandchildren, Ryley Meffen, Ruby Meffen and Beckett Taylor.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 4-6 PM at the Rector Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main Street in Geneseo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN, 38101-9908. Dolores enjoyed a good laugh, the love of friends and family, and touched our lives in immeasurable ways.
