“Please make sure that all relevant employees, including those who have already been impacted by COVID-19, are promptly provided this information. You may use Form IA 12.3 to provide this information to your employees,” NYS commands.
In the letter the Agency says, “During this COVID-19 Pandemic, many workplaces have been directly impacted by closures or workforce reduction. Your clients who are employers are required by law (12 NYCRR § 472.8) to provide certain information to their employees to help them promptly complete the unemployment insurance benefits application.
“Please help us get the word out by sharing the following information as widely as possible: by email to your New York State withholding tax or Unemployment Insurance clients, on your website, and on social media,” the agency wrote.
