GENESEO— Everybody loves free cake, and everybody loves giving back to the community!
Saturday, the United Way of Livingston County publicly thanked Wegmans for their generous yearly support. By selling tickets for the Gala in the Valley, collecting donations through their “register swipe campaign,” and through employee donations, Wegmans helps raise $50,000 for the United Way of Livingston County annually.
“The United Way of Livingston County is the thrilled to partner with Wegmans every year with this campaign,” said William Bacon, 2014 United Way Campaign Chairman.
Wegmans was awarded the “Good Neighbor GOLD Award,” which is the highest honor the United Way awards to companies or individuals. And at Saturday’s ceremony, the community was rewarded with cake!
