A Wayland man, Josiah Lane, 30, was arrested by New York State Troopers for trying to take a 16-year-old girl to Niagara Falls, without parental permission.  He was charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, a Class A Misdemeanor

The pair attempted to leave together at least twice in March.  Lane was issue an appearance ticket and must face the charges in court at a later date.
