Warsaw Man Admits to Stealing $15,000 from York Home

YORK- Peter A. Conway, age 28 from Warsaw, has been arrested after an investigation into his entering a house on Federal Road, York.

According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Conway gave a voluntary statement following his arrest admitting that he did steal cash and several rings from the home of his girlfriend and her mother, amounting to approximately $15,000. He has been charged with Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree.

“Conway had a key to his girlfriend’s house,” said Sheriff Dougherty, “and he was the suspect initially indicated by her and her mother. That’s where the investigation started and that’s who investigators got a sworn statement from.”

Investigator Dan Rittenhouse carried out the investigation and arrest. Conway was arraigned in York Town Court before Judge Purtell, and was remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.
