Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of a Springwater NY resident on felony charges, including bail jumping, after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On May 3rd, 2022 members of the Sheriff’s Office extradited 27 year-old Luciano Greenough from Miami, Florida.
Greenough was taken into custody in Miami, Florida on active felony bench warrants out of Livingston County Superior Court. Greenough was extradited back to Livingston County and additionally arrested on two separate charges of Bail Jumping in the Second Degree, one from the Village of Geneseo and one from the Village of Avon, after he failed to appear on multiple charges including felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree and Driving While Ability Impaired by Drug charges in both Courts back in December of 2021.
Greenough had been arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on consecutive days in October of 2021.
Greenough was transported to the Livingston County Jail where he was turned over to Central Booking Deputies for processing and pre-arraignment detention. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office was contacted in regards to bail and recommended Greenough be held without the chance of bail due to Greenough having prior felony convictions in other states.
Greenough was later arraigned on the Bail Jumping Charges in the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Groveland Justice Love. The Judge did remand Greenough to the custody of the Sheriff on bail set at $500 cash or $1,000 Bond.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office was present and represented Greenough at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part for his defense. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office was notified but did not appear to represent the people.
On May 6, 2022 Greenough was arraigned in Livingston County Court by Judge Jennifer Noto on the warrants. The Judge did remand Greenough to the custody of the Sheriff on $50,000 cash or $250,000 bond. Both the
Livingston County Public Defender’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office were present for the County Court proceeding.
The investigation was handled by members of the Criminal Investigations Division and the Patrol Division.
