LIVINGSTON COUNTY — A former Nunda Highway employee was sentenced to hard time for enticing little girls with pornographic images.
Timothy Wallace, 31, was sentenced in Livingston County court to 7-years in prison and 10 years of post-release supervision, for D felony sexual abuse in the first degree. In addition, Wallace was slammed with a 17-year federal prison sentence with 25-years of post-release supervision. The sentences will be served concurrently.
Wallace was originally charged in October of 2011 after he responded to a 13-year-old girl’s baby sitting flyer that was posted in a Nunda laundromat.
He tried to lure the girl into a meeting by sending her pornographic images. At the last minute the girl changed her mind and notified her parents.
This case was brought to federal court as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
