LIVINGSTON COUNTY — It’s election day for Livingston County Villages with six active ballots, four of which have contested races. Polls are open from noon until 9 p.m.
In Geneseo they have one of the more exciting races in decades as Margaret Duff is Challenging 32-year incumbent mayor Dick Matheway.
There’s going to be a new mayor in Caledonia as Republican Scott DiLiberto is running unchallenged
In Mont Morris it’s an uncontested race but worth mentioning as former Mayor Joel Mike makes a return to elected office, this time as a trustee.
Avon, Caledonia, Geneseo, Leicester, Mt. Morris, and Nunda all have active ballots.
Here’s your election day breakdown on the contested races:
CALEDONIA VILLAGE TRUSTEE (2 seats): Janet Cappotelli and Marjorie Byrnes are running on the Republican line and Cheryl Barney and is running on the Democrat line.
GENESEO MAYOR:Republican Richard Hatheway goes up against Democrat Margaret Duff.
GENESEO VILLAGE TRUSTEE (2 seats): Leah fletcher and Christopher Ivers are running as Democrats and Robert Deming is running as a Republican.
LEICESTER VILLAGE TRUSTEE (2 seats): Donnie Jacobs and Janey Green are running on the Democratic line and Michael Constantino and Colleen Frantz are running on the Republican lines.
NUNDA MAYOR: Robert Cox is running as aDemocrat and Jack Morgan is running as a Republican.
NUNDA VILLAGE TRUSTEE (2 seats):Fritz Amrhein is running as a democrat as William McTarnaghan and Darren Snyder are running as Republicans.
