The LCAA Division II match-up between the two powerhouses was an early season test for both teams that hope to make a run in the playoffs.
The Blue Devils were led by Stefanie Ledwith with 19 assists, Alison Meyers with 11 kills and 2 blocks. Samarys Gomez also conributed a solid game with 8 digs and 4 aces.
“We played great defense tonight and took care of the ball, limiting errors and serving strong. We knew to be competitive in the match we had to try and control the pace and tempo, given they had a lot of big hitters,” said Chris Butera, Geneseo Head Coach. “It was our first home game of the year and the girls were fired up, which showed on the court.”
