GENESEO – Come out to the Village Tavern for a Beer Pairing Dinner to help support Hearthside Cats, Inc. The Beer Pairing Dinner will be held Thursday, Feb. 5, starting at 7 p.m.
According to Rick Vattimo, owner at the Village Tavern, patrons are encouraged to arrive at 6:30 p.m., dinner will last approximately an hour, followed by raffles and prize drawings.
All profits will go to Hearthside Cats, Inc., a no-kill adoption and foster agency established in Geneseo in 1991, which has cared for over 1,500 cats and kittens.
Each course will be accompanied by a selected beer. First course includes Middle Ages brewery’s Swallow Wit Bier, paired with smoked blue cheese and apple wood bacon bruschetta, from there Grail Ale will take its place next to an antipasto Caesar salad with herbed bread sticks, the third course will feature ImPailed Ale paired with Cajun braised pork loin served up with red gravy, sweet and sour pearl onions and a side of pink beans and rice.
Still have room for more? Black Heart stout rounds off the meal with a triple chocolate cheesecake doused with raspberry sauce.
