Village of Geneseo Says Parking Permits Go On Sale July 1

The Village of Geneseo  announced today that parking permits will go on sale Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 8:30am.  We ask that only one person enter the building/Clerk’s office at a time, to maintain social distancing requirements.  You must have a facial mask on to enter the Geneseo Building.  If you do not have a mask, we will ask you to leave immediately.

Do not congregate in the doorway/hallway or outside of the building unless you are maintaining social distancing requirements.

We ask you to use the hand sanitizer provided for you as soon as you enter the Geneseo Building.

We ask that if you can, please have all the info required (as stated below) available and ready.

To make this go as quick as possible while maintaining social distancing requirements, we ask when possible to help each other out, if your neighboring business needs some permits and are paying with cash or
check, maybe you could purchase them for them.

Please remember the changes we implemented last year. This year there is also a change in price. Each permit will now cost $100.00 for one year.  The permits will be good for July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021.

1st – Only Yearly Permits are being sold – no six month permits are available.
2nd –  Parking Permit MUST be affixed to the outside of the window.  Prior to attaching the permit, clean the outside of the window to ensure a secure fit

.           Place the permit on the rear side window on the driver’s side
for all vehicles that have a side window (i.e. cars, vans, and trucks with
four doors).
For vehicles that do not have a rear side window, place the permit on the
driver’s side back window.
.           Failure to follow these instructions could result in a ticket
being issued.
3rd –  Permits will only be issued when the following information is provided (if you do not have this info – a permit will not and cannot be issued)
*        Permit Holders Name
*        License Plate # of the vehicle – only one permit will be issued per
vehicle.
If you have two vehicles you drive – then you will need to purchase two
parking permits.
Parking permits cannot be transferred from vehicle to vehicle or from person
to person.
