GENESEO – The Village and campus are bustling today and will likely be for the rest of the weekend. Cars and U-hauls are everywhere. The Village’s banner heartily welcomes SUNY Geneseo students back to the community for the fall semester.
On campus, spirits are high. Friends are reconnecting and students are moving into residence halls.

“It’s such a great time, having new and all returning students coming in,” said Conor Lynch, Assistant Resident Director of Monroe and Livingston Halls. “It’s incredible to be the first reference point for students as they check into their homes for the next year.”
Businesses are flinging open their doors. Some offer special sales for the weekend.
Classes officially start on Monday, Aug. 29.
