Bill Davis of the MRB Group that insures the Village of Avon, discussed deadlines for finance applications at Monday’s board meeting, and advised the board to move fast as time is of the essence.
“We need to evaluate whether upgrading to technology like this will be beneficial to the village,” said Davis. “There are some things that I like, and there are some things that I am concerned about.”
According to Tom Freeman, Mayor for the Village of Avon, one of the village’s biggest partners is Kraft Foods which about 80% of the money spent will belong to.
During a very brief discussion about the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Davis described the project as having two phases. Phase one will cost approximately ten million dollars, phase two will cost approximately two and a half million dollars.
“We are not planning on spending ten million dollars, but that is what we are applying for,” said Mayor Freeman.
According to Freeman, anything that can be thought of in the treatment plant is included in this ten million dollar project.
Between now and the next village board meeting that is scheduled for December 16, phone calls and meetings will be made for the village board, MRB Group, and partners of the village to get together and discuss the situation.
“A decision will be made on December 16,” said Mayor Freeman.
