GENESEO — Law enforcement has identified the driver of the tractor trailer that struck and killed Nicholas Iannarelli, 24, on Saturday morning.
According to Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, the driver is Valeri Belioutsa, 54, of Thornhill, Ontario Canada, who was driving a truck for Highlight Motor Group based in Concord Ontario. The Sheriff stated that the investigation is still open and as of this time no charges have been filed.

Police were on the way after a 911 call reported that Iannarelli, walking in the middle of Rte. 63 at approximately 2:56 a.m. Police were on scene 3 minutes after the call ended and discovered Ianarelli deceased in the road.
Sheriff Dougherty thanked members of the community, Sheriff Deputies, and other law agencies for the hard work in locating the vehicle.
The truck was on a common route between Pennsylvania and Canada and was equipped with a GPS tracking device that records the speed of the vehicle
Deputies traveled across the border to Canada and inspected the truck which had visible signs of damage. The Sheriff would not elaborate as to the damage sighting that the investigation is ongoing.
