Accompanying friends and family are encouraged to join in the celebration, but, due to limited supplies, steak will be reserved for veterans only. Family will still be provided with a free hot dog dinner.
This community event, initiated and supported by charitable local business owners Les, Matt, and Jen Cole, will run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 5939 Stone Hill Road, Lakeville, NY. All veterans are welcome to attend and enjoy a free meal.
Les Cole owns and operates a number of popular businesses in the Livingston County, including the Seafood Company and North Shore Grill in Lakeville.
Veterans Day has been a federal holiday since 1954, when it evolved from Armistice Day to celebrate the service of all men and women who have served in the US Armed Forces.
In past years, hundreds of veterans were able to enjoy this annual dinner along with friends and family in honor of their service.
