GENESEO – A vehicle fire stopped traffic on 20A (Lakeville Road) on Thursday.

The fire started in a black Jeep Cherokee at about 11:30 a.m. Multiple fire trucks with Geneseo Fire and Ambulance arrived at the scene on Lakeville Road east of North Road.

Traffic was backed up on Lakeville Road from the area of North Road to 390.

First responders cleared the scene at about 12:10 p.m., and traffic is beginning to move.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

No one was transported to the hospital from the scene.
