GENESEO – The Geneseo Blue Devils put in a strong performance to earn a 75-50 home victory against the Letchworth Indians Tuesday evening.

For the Blue Devils, the highlight of the meet came when the 200-yard freestyle relay team finished the event with a time of 1:35.84, breaking the 16 year old record for this event (1:36.21) set back in 1999. The 200-yard freestyle relay team included junior Zachary Shine, 8th grader Alex Krueger, sophomore John Baker, and junior Thomas Marshall.
Each member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team also won an individual event during the meet. Zachary Shine won the 200-yard freestyle (2:07.41), Alex Krueger won the 500-yard freestyle (5:47.77), John Baker won the 200-yard individual medley (2:18.41), and Thomas Marshall won the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.54). Sophomore Josh Welch dominated the 100-yard freestyle (58.09) and finished a full 10 seconds ahead of the 2nd place finisher.
The Blue Devils will host Wayland-Cohocton at home on Thursday, January 15 at 5:00p.m.
