COHOCTON – The Livonia Bulldogs snatched a victory from the hands of defeat, beating the Wayland-Cohocton Golden Eagles 21-6.
The Bulldogs had no points on the board going into the third quarter, but pulled an upset against the Golden Eagles in the final stage of play.
“It was a good, tough win” Coach John Gammon told the Sun. “No one ever quit, and the young guys stepped up the second half”.
Despite numerous on field injuries, the Bulldogs rallied strong in the last quarter. Senior Bob Krause scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. The first with 10:14 left on the clock, the second with 7:55, both matched by a field goal from Senior Jack Horan. The last touchdown was made with 1:31 left in the game by Junior Ethan Perham, rounding out the score with another field goal by Horan.
The Bulldogs are now 3-0 this season, and take on Wayne Central next Friday, September 26. The game,, taking place at Wayne Central School will go off at 7:30 p.m.
