During a campaign kick-off fundraiser at The Avon Inn on Thursday, Kevin Van Allen announced that he has received the endorsement of the Police Benevolent Association of the New York State Troopers, Inc., for his bid to become Livingston County Court Judge. Van Allen is the first candidate in this race to receive such an endorsement from Law Enforcement. County Court Judges in Livingston County preside over Criminal cases, Family Court, Surrogates Court and are anticipated to become acting Supreme Court Justices after serving two years.

“It is with careful consideration that the PBA is endorsing Kevin Van Allen for Livingston County Court Judge. The challenges facing members of the law enforcement community are greater than ever before, and we need individuals like Kevin Van Allen in leadership positions to help law enforcement officers better serve the residents of New York State,” according to the announcement from the PBA.
“I am extremely proud and humbled to receive this acknowledgement from the State Troopers. Their process is thorough, and I am honored to receive this endorsement so early in the race. This recognition by law enforcement underscores the mutual respect that my legal career has been built on,” said Van Allen.
Van Allen announced his candidacy on November 13. He is a partner at Van Allen & Hoffmann in Geneseo and has been involved in the practice of law in and around Livingston County for more than twenty years. He lives in Avon with his wife and their four daughters.
