In the state of Colorado a vaccination site was closed early Wednesday at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park because 13 people had adverse reactions to a Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Thus far officials have not revealed the details of the reactions.
More than 600 people with appointments were unable to receive their vaccinations due to the early closure. They will be rescheduled this Sunday. However, the vaccine that they will get will be by Pfizer instead of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
“We followed our protocols and in an abundance of caution, made the decision — in partnership with the state — to pause operations for the remainder of the day,” Centura Health officials said to local newspaper.
