According to Ben Luft, Superintendent of Public Works of the Village of Lima, there was no actual water main break. Mr. Luft said that it was an electric issue. He stated that the sending unit from the water tower to the pumping house wasn’t working. It was showing a water leak issue when there wasn’t one. The Village DPW staff went around the entire village and couldn’t find any water flowing at a rate consistent with the readings. The electrical issue was found late last night. The CONSERVE WATER advisory was lifted this morning.
