Jason C. Gibson (30) was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child after Sheriff Deputies discovered that he had left his one-year-old son alone in the apartment while he went to the store.
According to a press release from Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, Gibson later added that he told his eleven year old daughter, who was playing outside at the time, to keep an eye on the baby while he was out.
Deputy Shawn Whitford arrested Gibson during the investigation, and immediately completed a Child Protective Services referral.
Gibson was later released with pending court action. The Red Cross is assisting Gibson for temporary shelter.
The two children have been relocated and are currently living with a family friend.
