LIVINGSTON COUNTY — The United Way of Livingston County kicked off their 2017 campaign at Wegmans Saturday morning.
They have set their goal at $250,000 to be dispersed to their 20 partnering Livingston County charities and public programs.
“This community’s generosity is inspiring but not surprising,” said Kevin Van Allen, Co-Vice Chair of United Way’s 2017 campaign. “We know we are setting the bar high and Livingston County will always deliver.”
Eric and Julie Gott are Co-Vice Chairs alongside Van Allen.
Wegmans is a great contributor in conducting an employee campaign and also a customer campaign where customers can donate while checking out at the register.
“It’s a great partnership,” said Frank DeFranco, Wegmans Geneseo Store Manager. “One of our core values at Wegmans is making a difference in the community that we serve. I think that we share the same values and how important it is to support our community and what a difference that can make.”
“We’d like to especially thank Wegmans not only for their hospitality hosting us today but their exceptional generosity, which goes to support the local charities that surround them,” said Van Allen.
