PIFFARD — According to the New York State Department of State, State Tax Warrant Notice System, Karen Uhl, the bar owner of the Wadsworth Grill, has open sales tax warrants for her arrest.
A missing persons report was filled with the Livingston County Sheriffs Department. Employees found a suspicious note and feared the worst about the location of the bar owner and her condition.
The bar is normally open on Mondays and those who went there to collect their Super Bowl board winnings were not able to collect the money they felt owed. It is estimated that the amount from the boards was somewhere between $35,000 and $60,000. The GeneseeSun.com first reported that amount to be $50,000.
Livingston County Sheriff John York told www.13wham.com that she had left a note stating she had debt issues with the Internal Revenue Service.
Uhl is no longer missing and has returned to work.
One winner, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the GeneseeSun.com that they were paid their winnings from the board.
