Troopers in Painted Post investigate a motorcycle vs. SUV fatal accident.

The New York State Police in Painted Post investigated a motorcycle vs. SUV fatal accident that occurred May 26, 2022, at approximately 11:58 a.m.

A motorcycle, operated by Lorie A. Woodruff, age 59, from Corning, NY was traveling eastbound on River Road (County Route-44) in the town of Corning when she failed to negotiate a bend in the roadway.  Woodruff traveled across the center line and into the path of an oncoming SUV, being operated by a 57-year-old town of Corning resident.

Woodruff was pronounced deceased at the scene and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

The New York State Police were assisted on scene by the Joint Corning Fire District, and AMR Ambulance.
