LIVINGSTON COUNTY: Livingston County STOP DWI Coordinator, Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty, announces an upcoming crackdown on DWI and DWAI drugs. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, five local Police Departments, and the New York State Park Police based in Letchworth, will be participating in the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee’s STOP-DWI Crackdown Enforcement over Super Bowl weekend.
Staring February 1st through February 4th, there will enhanced patrols to coincide with the Super Bowl Weekend with the mission of removing intoxicated and/or drug impaired drivers off our Livingston County roadways. Sheriff’s Deputies will be joined by Police Officers from the Avon, Caledonia, Dansville, Geneseo, and Mount Morris Police Departments, as well as the New York State Park Police in Letchworth.
Livingston County along with 41 other counties in New York State will participate in the STOP-DWI Crackdown Enforcement program by utilizing funds awarded the New York State STOP-DWI Foundation.
