WHEATLAND— The New York State Department of Transportation announced a traffic advisory for motorists using Route 36 in Monroe and Livingston Counties.
The advisory is in regards to a temporary closure of Route 36 at Rochester Southern Railroad crossing in Mumford, in the Town of Wheatland, Monroe County. A detour will begin the afternoon of Tuesday, June 26 for motorists to use North Road, Route 19, and Route 5. The work being done includes replacing rails and repaving the crossing. The rail crossing is expected to re-open to traffic by the end of the week.
