CALEDONIA — The crowd was small at the Livingston County Fair but it was clear that the main attraction was the tractor pull.
The Eagle Garden Tractor Pulling Association participated in the tractor pull at the Livingston County Fair on Wednesday night and seemed to be the reason people were attracted to the fair.
“The fair is really small but really nice,” said Sammi Vanwinkle, fairgoer at the Livingston County Fair. “I came for the tractor pull.”
Brandon Benson was just one of the participants in the Livingston County Fair tractor pull and has participated in the tractor pull for the last three years.
“The trophy is just a piece of plastic, and we obviously don’t do it for the crowd, it’s about the tractors,” said Benson.
For Benson, winning or losing is not a factor in his mind when he is tractor pulling.
“With tractor pulling you’re never finished, little things always happen,” said Benson. “All I think about when I’m pulling is weight placement, air pressure, and speed.”
