The driver, 26 year old Corey L. Yeoman, was allegedly headed East on Presbyterian Road at approximately 8:40pm on Thursday when his 2000 Mercury Mountaineer veered off of the roadway on the North side of the road. The vehicle struck a concrete culvert, causing the vehicle to roll over and come to rest on it’s roof. Yeoman was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty in a press release, Yeoman was the lone occupant of the vehicle, and no other bystanders were injured.
The investigation was handled by many members of Sheriff Thomas Dougherty’s Office. The Mt. Morris Fire Department and Ambulance were on scene for assistance, as well as personnel from the West Sparta Fire Department.
At 6:18am the same day, 41 year old Theodore Markel was killed in a head-on collision on Rte 256. His two passengers, Matthew Markel and Joe Greene, as well as the other driver, John Linehan, were also injured.
