LIVINGSTON COUNTY – A Nunda man who has lately found himself routinely at odds with the law was sentenced to state prison on Thursday.
While in jail on Petit Larceny charges after allegedly stealing $125 of merchandise from Walmart in Geneseo, Brian Mehlenbacher, 35, was caught with Suboxone pills in his cell, and after pleading guilty to drug and contraband charges is now sentenced to 2 to 4 years in prison.
“No. Nothing helps at this point,” said Mehlenbacher when asked if he wanted to comment before sentencing.
Mehlenbacher was also caught in a string of burglaries in 2013 with his accomplice, Heather Hoffman, who previously worked as a substitute teacher, and pled guilty to Burglary in the Third Degree.
