The Livingston County Education Alliance (LCEA), the foundation arm of the Livingston County Chamber of Commerce, announced today the launch of its application process for LCEA’s annual scholarship program. Officials are pleased to publicize the availability of four $1,000 scholarships for 2020 High School graduates residing in Livingston County.
“The Chamber is excited to continue our tradition of supporting Livingston County students in their post-secondary education and training through this scholarship program. Our hope is that these students become a talented, work-ready pipeline for local employers” said Angela Grouse, Director of Education to Employment Initiatives at the Livingston County Education Alliance.
Area students have benefited from this opportunity for over a decade, moving forward d to expand their education through training and certification programs, Associates degrees, Bachelor’s degrees, and beyond.
“This investment in our future workforce is of vital importance to our local communities,” comments Katie Schreiner, Vice-President of Member Services at Genesee Valley Federal Credit Union and scholarship committee chair.
The scholarship application guidelines and directions for submission are available at https://www.livingstoncountychamber.com/lcea-scholarship. Applications must be received by July 27, 2020, to be eligible for consideration.
