CALEDONIA – A 17-year-old is home from Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries after a serious rollover accident that rolled his car multiple times beside Rte. 36 near Black Street Wednesday morning.
According to family members, the young man is home and doing fine, with nothing worse than scrapes, bruises, stitches on his left hand, and residual soreness.
“I shouldn’t be on this planet right now,” said the young driver. “That’s what really matters.”
At this point, driver inattention seems to have played a part in the crash.
The family added that the young man did have a seat belt on at the time of the crash.
“He went way off the road,” said his family members. “He’s very thankful to be alive right now.”
