Geneseo and York Odyssey of the Mind Qualify for World Championship

GENESEO — Students at Geneseo Central School and York Central School qualified for the World Finals at the Odyssey of the Mind State Championship on at Binghamton University. Car Takes Out Base of Pole by York School

YORK – A vehicle broke out the bottom of a utility pole outside of York Central School late Wednesday morning. According to first responders on scene, the car was westbound on Rte. 63 (Genesee Street) when the driver lost control, crossed the oncoming lane, and crashed through the utility pole at about 11:20 a.m. The driver was checked for injuries in an ambulance and released at the scene. YORK — On Tuesday night York Central School passed their proposed school budget as well as approved the purchase of two new school buses. York passed the $16.5 million budget by a margin of 382-178. YORK – Folks who turned out to the York Central School football field Monday night were surprised when a car crashed into multiple parked vehicles on the grass nearby.
