Avon to Receive New LED Streetlights
AVON— The Village of Avon has voted to switch their streetlights to LED. This change comes from the fact that Avon is trying to be more energy efficient and that it is easier to control where the light form LED lighting shines. There is also a financial benefit for the village of Avon to switch to LED Lighting. Closing Date Set for Avon’s Park Theatre Sale
AVON— The Park Theatre in Avon is nearing a final closing date according to Village Mayor Tom Freeman. Mayor Freeman informed the Village Board that hopeful new owner Ann Younger has a closing date on the property on June 1st. Village of Avon Adds All-Seasons Workhorse to Streets
AVON – Avon residents will see a big new workhorse on Village streets this year. The Village purchased the 2008 International Work Star 6-wheel dump truck from the Town of Pittsford for $55,000 to do municipal work, annual brush and leaf pickups, and plow snow in the winter. AVON — The Village of Avon looks to tackle drainage issues by the end of June with a new 2.2 million gallon retention pond.
