LIVINGSTON COUNTY – The death of a large snapping turtle on Rte. 408 serves as a reminder to 'give turtles a brake' in the words of the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). Momma Snapper Leaves New Neighbors for Flooded Van Sons
AVON – A momma snapping turtle is making the best of the aftermath of the Mother's Day flood and decided to lay her eggs in the freshly deposited soil that barely holds the Van Son's backyard in place.
