LIVINGSTON COUNTY – A young man who admitted to seriously injuring his cell mate with a pillowcase stuffed with personal belongings in October was sentenced to state prison Thursday morning. Jacob Dougherty, 18, was sentenced to 1 to 3 years in state prison for Attempted Assault in the Second Degree, an E felony, and is ordered to pay $2,043 of restitution, as well as $375 in court fees.
