Geneseo Taking Applications for Parking Enforcement Officer
GENESEO – The Village of Geneseo's parking enforcement officer has resigned. Teresa Easton filed the notice of resignation over two months ago to give the Village a wide window to make a new hire. Village of Geneseo Increased Parking Ticket Revenue by $2,600 in 2015
GENESEO – The total number of parking tickets issued on and around Main Street increased by more than 1,200 tickets in 2015, resulting in a more than $2,600 increase in parking enforcement revenue for the Village's general fund. According to the Geneseo Police Department's Annual Report for 2015, 4,673 parking tickets were issued during 2015, which is 1,263 more tickets than the total for 2014. Handicap Sign Not to Code, Tickets Below the Belt
GENESEO – Code enforcement officers with the Town and Village have found that the handicapped parking sign at Byrne Dairy gas station is just four inches higher from the ground than is allowed by code, making drivers who have active tickets for parking there wonder if their tickets can be appealed.
