AVON – The luminaries are returning to sidewalks in the Village of Avon in the hopes of continuing a once-lost tradition. According to Michael Miron, who organizes the luminaries, the luminaries go on Sunday Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. Miron said that he will be handing out luminary packages for the next two Sundays from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lions Club Barns by the Genesee River. Avon Soccer’s Euchre Tournament to Also Benefit Girl with Leukemia
AVON – The Avon soccer team's euchre tournament will give some of its earnings to a little Henrietta girl fighting Leukemia. The tournament scheduled for Oct. 1 will give 25 percent of its earnings to Emilia Lindsay, 2, who is fighting B Cell Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.
