Workers Count Five Gas Tanks so Far Under Main Street Geneseo
GENESEO – As contaminated soil removal continues as part of Geneseo's Main Street project, another gas tank has been discovered at the site of an old Ford dealership on Main Street, bringing the total to five so far. Removal of the tanks began at about 10:20 a.m. on Monday, and as of 1:20 p.m. two 2,000 gallon tanks have been removed. First of Contaminated Fuel Tanks Unearthed on Main Street Geneseo
GENESEO – The first of multiple fuel tanks holding petroleum contaminants was removed from under Main Street Monday Morning. According to Sam Nardozzi with Nardozzi Paving, this tank can hold up to 2,000 gallons of fluid, but was only filled approximately half way.
