CALEDONIA – A locally known male black bear was put down after an accident with a trike motorcycle late Saturday afternoon. Livingston County Sheriff's Investigator Josh Monster said that the motorcyclist was westbound on Rte. 5 when the bear suddenly came across the road and struck the motorcycle in the side, throwing the rider to the ground.
