AVON – The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is prohibiting the use of Australian Common Reed (phragmites australis) in the wastewater treatment plant's reed beds. Traffic to be Detoured off of Rte 39 for 2 Months
AVON — A proposed construction project will shut down Rte. 39 near the Five Arch Bridge for 2 months and traffic will be rerouted through residential streets.
