Kids can trick or treat, march in Geneseo’s Halloween parade
GENESEO — Ghosts, ghouls and goblins will be on Geneseo’s Main Street today for the annual Halloween parade. Parents can Trick or Treat with their children along Main Street from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. Children marching in the parade should gather at Village Park around 5:30. Geneseo Village Board approves code changes
GENESEO — The Geneseo Village Board of Trustees approved the proposed Village of Geneseo code changes discussed at the Oct. 1 public hearing during tonight’s meeting. GENESEO — Geneseo’s popular restaurant Papa Jay’s Homemade Café closed its Reservoir Road location last week. Donations needed for Soup-er Fast Can Drive by Friday
GENESEO – SUNY Geneseo’s famous “Painted Tree” received a makeover recently. But the tree’s new look isn’t just for the sake of style. The college is using the tree’s new paint job to support a local charity. Students have painted the 35-foot tall black walnut in the heart of campus for decades to promote organizations and events. Highland Park mural brightens tennis courts
GENESEO — The Highland Park tennis courts got a makeover last week. Geneseo High School art teacher Beth Adams and students Kyle Fletcher, Brittany Johnson, Kate Hochbrueckner, Jamie Andrest, Nelli Argentieri, and Hannah VanWuyckhuyse worked four days on a mural on the tennis courts, which depicts wildlife by water as the sun sets. Genesee Valley Hunt an important tradition
Established in 1876, the Genesee Valley Hunt has only gotten better with age. Major Austin W. Wadsworth was the first Master of the Hunt and when he took over, the pack of hounds were brought each time by members of the hunt. This caused chaos as the hounds would not hunt together and would only answer to their own master.
