AVON  —The East Avon water tower passed it's inspection, but there is one issue that has town officials concerned, a 12-inch deep indented pit on the top.The indent, was apparently caused by inward pressure from when an ice freeze jammed a vent, causing the pressure to suck the outer 1/4 inch steel shell inward.According to the Town engineer, Tim Rock, the solution would be to reverse pressure inside the tower to, "pop' the indent out.
