AVON– Severe flooding in Avon overwhelmed and destroyed a bridge over Little Conesus Creek on Littleville Road on Monday. It appears that at about 9:00a.m. Monday morning, excessive water flow overwhelmed the large culverts at the base of the bridge, and washed away the surrounding foundation. The whole structure then tumbled into the normally quiet Little Conesus Creek, which was by then a torrential river.
