Mother Nature Crushes Avon on Mother’s Day with Flash Flood
AVON — The Village of Avon, especially the lower parts along the Genesee River, were decimated by flash flooding this Sunday. The storm, which came crashing through the Valley at approximately 3:30 p.m. left roads closed, homes flooded and fire departments scrambling to pump water out of flooded homes.
