AVON – A 45-year-old woman was struck by a blue Ford Fusion on Prospect Street near the traffic circle at 1:19 p.m. on Wednesday, suffering only minor injuries. According to first responders on scene, the victim at first refused EMS treatment because her injuries were so minor, but was transported to the hospital by an Avon Ambulance as a precaution.
