DANSVILLE — A Dansville Mustang Sophomore Swimmer is making waves in the pool with the Section V fastest time this season in the 100 breaststroke.
Not only is Aidan Kreiley’s time of 59.69 in the 100 breaststroke the fastest in all of section V, it’s also the 9th fastest in New York State.
“Aidan’s work ethic in the sport of swimming rivals some of the best, on and off the pool deck,” said coach Chris Everett. “Even with the countless hours spent training the way he does, he always finds the drive to improve his odds of success even when he is not in the water. His drive to surpass challenges set by himself as well as his coaches keeps Aidan focused each day on the end result. Knowing the sport of swimming is a process, Aidan has the ability to take away the small victories as well as the imperfections from every race he swims.”
Kreiley has some work to do if he wants to set the Section V record. Noah Stevens set that mark in 2015 while swimming for Brighton with a time of 55.93, he currently swims for Duke University.
“His true passion for the sport stands out not only in his hard work and success but in his willingness to help this and the next generation of up and coming swimmers to succeed in the sport no matter the age or the team,” added Everett. “With these attributes I’m excited to watch Aidan rise through the ranks and succeed at the highest level.”
