UPDATE: SUNY Geneseo Police: ‘We are Taking Swastika-Trump Graffiti Very Seriously’
GENESEO — SUNY Police are investigating the appearance of offensive graffiti inside a residence hall at SUNY Geneseo.
According to SUNY Geneseo, a resident assistant (RA) in Nassau Hall discovered graffiti consisting of a swastika with the word ‘Trump’ on a wall in a common area of the residence hall on Nov. 11. The RA notified University Police, who immediately launched an investigation and had the graffiti removed.
“The ideals of diversity, equity and inclusion are central to the College’s mission, and we expect everyone on our campus to share in the responsibility of realizing those ideals,” said the College in a statement.
Officers continue to canvass the area but as yet have identified no suspects.
